Punching up their website with a redesign
For Tolide Judo Kwai, we didn’t just redesign their site—we gave it a knockout punch. Using WordPress, I crafted a 6-page digital experience that’s cohesive, engaging, and leverages their existing brand to its fullest potential.
When I onboarded Tolide Judo Kwai, they had already begun building a new website. Unfortunately, the installation of WordPress on their GoDaddy domain had overwritten their old website. Without any existing backups, I promptly set the hosting to display a maintenance page and began the website redesign process. The final result was a refreshed, accessible, and mobile-responsive website.

- Event Calendar Integration: After consulting with the instructors and members of the dojo, I integrated a calendar that syncs with their Google account. This ensures that events are automatically updated on the website as they are scheduled.
- Enhanced Contact Page: I developed a new contact page featuring a FAQ section to address common inquiries and a basic form for other questions. This improvement helps streamline communication and provides immediate answers to frequently asked questions.
- Transparent Pricing Information: A significant obstacle was that class pricing was hidden behind a registration page for the minor sports association, requiring an additional step for potential members to view the cost. To address this, I clarified the registration steps and provided transparent pricing directly on the website. This change reduces friction for prospective members by eliminating the need for an extra login.

The new website has received positive feedback from several members, who have commented on its improved appearance and functionality. Members particularly appreciate the mobile responsiveness, as the new design eliminates the need to scroll sideways to view content.
